Racquetball Clubs who are affiliated with the Alberta Racquetball Association (ARA) may access the following programs and services:

Website Listing
A listing of your club in the Places to Play section of the ARA website. 

Event Sanctioning (Clinics, leagues, lessons and tournaments)
Clubs may apply to the ARA for event sanctioning. The ARA will review the request, and if the basic criteria are met the event will be sanctioned. Written notification confirming event sanctioning will be sent to the club. Please note, event sanctioning is required on an annual basis.

Process for Receiving Sanctioning:

  1. Complete the Sanctioned Event Application Form and submit it to the Alberta Racquetball Association office a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to the start of the event.
  2. Submit ARA registration forms and fees for all participants, coaches, officials and volunteers as soon as the event registration is complete.
  3. Submit final report to the ARA a minimum of thirty (30) days after the completion of the event.

Benefits of Sanctioning:

  1. Advertising: ARA offers advertising assistance by promoting ARA sanctioned events through e-mail blast-outs, posters and newspaper advertisements.
  2. Facility Rental Subsidies: ARA will subsidize the cost of facility rental for tournaments. (maximum $300 per tournament)
  3. Insurance: All participants, coaches, instructors and officials participating in sanctioned events are covered by ARA's $2,000,000 insurance policy which includes bodily injury on court.
  4. Learning Facilitators: ARA will pay the honorarium and travel expenses for learning facilitators to conduct clinics.
  5. Leaugue Officials: ARA will pay one qualified league official to oversee a league.
  6. Racquetball Skills Development Program: ARA will grant clubs teaching racquetball lessons unlimited use of the Racquetball Skills Development program.
  7. Rankings: The competitive results from sanctioned tournaments will be entered into the Racquetball Canada database.
  8. Website: A listing of your event on the ARA website.
